Esquimalt Lagoon
The unique geological history and physical processes of Esquimalt Lagoon have created an area rich in wildlife, that is highly valued by locals and visitors to the area. This shallow lagoon is enclosed by a sand and gravel barrier spit (Coburg Peninsula), and is connected to the ocean with a tidal channel at the northeast end. Esquimalt Lagoon is a designated bird sanctuary and historic First Nations site.
Galloping Goose Regional Trail, Capital Regional District Parks
Daily commuters and recreational riders alike use ‘The Goose’ as a connector to downtown, back and beyond.

Colwood is blessed to be home to two National Historic Sites, and Hatley Park is one of them, including the impressive Hatley Castle. There are miles of trails to enjoy on foot or on bicycle.

Walk the West Shore

Wild Play Element Parks
Come check out the Monkido tree courses with elevated obstacle courses set in a beautiful forest and securely suspended in the trees at 10 to 60 feet off the ground! Elements include a Tarzan Swing, zip lines, scramble nets and swinging logs. A wild outdoor adventure for the whole family!
